Lawrence A. Jacobson
Lawrence A. Jacobson, born in 1948, received his B.A. degree from Gonzaga University in 1970, cum laude, and his J.D. degree from University of San Francisco in 1973, cum laude. As an undergraduate, Mr. Jacobson achieved membership in the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society.
At the University of San Francisco School of Law, Mr. Jacobson achieved membership in the McAuliffe Law Honor Society for distinguished academic achievement and earned the American Jurisprudence Award for Creditors’ Rights and Debtors’ Remedies.
Mr. Jacobson is admitted to practice in all the courts of the State of California, in all United States District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts in the State of California, in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and in the United States Tax Court.
For forty three years Mr. Jacobson has engaged in commercial litigation and business reorganization with court and jury trials throughout the State and Federal courts in California and Nevada. Mr. Jacobson acted as lead counsel in prosecuting or defending the actions described in the Litigation Services section of this website, and in obtaining the confirmations of the Chapter 11 Plans in the cases described in the Reorganization Services section. Mr. Jacobson has lectured regarding civil discovery and bankruptcy matters.
In May, 2007, Mr. Jacobson obtained the Forty Hour Certificate of Mediation Training from the Teresa V. Carey Mediation and Conflict Training Services program. Mr. Jacobson acts as a panelist on the Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Program for the Northern District of California.
Member of the San Mateo County Bar Association, the Commercial Law Section of the San Francisco Bar Association, the Bay Area Bankruptcy Forum.
